Our doors open at 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. We close at 6:30 PM. It is imperative you have picked your child up by 6:30 PM in order to avoid a late pick up fee of $1.00 per minute per child. It is very hard for a child to arrive during nap time, so please drop your child off before 11:30 AM or after 2:30 PM.

We ID everyone we do not recognize or that does not have the check out code. If anyone other than the parents are picking up they need to be listed on the emergency contact form.

Little Critters Learning Center has an open door policy. You are welcome to visit your child any time during the day.

Guidance is handled with patience, consistency, and respect. Our goal is to teach appropriate behavior. Our steps for discipline are:

1.Redirections first. Teachers will redirect the child to a more appropriate activity or behavior and review expectations in a calm, supportive manner.

  1. Visit to the office. If behavior continues, the child may take a short break in the office to reset, reflect, and discuss better choices with the guidance of administration.
  2. Call to parents. If behavior persists or is serious, parents/guardians will be contacted to discuss concerns and create a plan for improvement.
  3. Sent Home. If behavior continues after previous steps, or if safety is at risk, the child may be sent home for the remainder of the day.

We work in partnership with families to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and successful.

At Little Critters, the health and well-being of all children and staff is a top priority. To help prevent the spread of illness, we ask families to follow the guidelines below.

Children must be kept home if they: are not feeling well, have a temperature of 101.0 or higher, are vomiting, or have diarrhea.

If a child develops symptoms after arrival parents/guardians will be contacted, and the child must be picked up with one hour of notification.

A child may return to the center after being symptom-free and /or fever free for at least 24 hours with the use of medications.

We appreciate your partnership in keeping our Little Critters healthy and safe.

At Little Critters, maintaining a clean and healthy environment is very important to us. In our Infants through 2-year-old classrooms, toys are cleaned and sanitized daily.

In all other classrooms and areas, toys are cleaned and sanitized weekly.

Additional cleaning is completed as needed to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Yes. At Little Critters, we provide nutritious meals and snacks to support children’s growth, health, and learning throughout the day. We proudly provide: Breakfast, Morning snack, Lunch, Afternoon snack. All meals are planned to meet children’s nutritional needs.

Most of the staff members are CPR and first aid certified. Every staff member undergoes a comprehensive background screening, which is renewed monthly. Each member of our Critter Crew has at least 20 hours of training per year. We do have 7 teachers that have their CDA (Child Development Associate credential). The majority of our full time staff have been part of the Little Critters family for many years providing consistency and experience.

Please bring your child a change of clothes (all ages) just in case they have an accident or spill something, bring your child a blanket if they will be taking naps at the center (we will provide the sheet for their cot), If your child is in diapers we ask you bring a package of diapers, and wipes.

Parents are welcome to check on your child at any time throughout the day. You may call our center, message your child’s teacher directly through the app we use, or log into our secure camera system. The camera system is accessible with a unique username and password, allowing you to view your child safely and securely whenever you’d like.
